Love:The UnfinishedRevolution
Why even the most liberated among us still feel trapped in our relationships, and how returning to the ecology of our bodies sets us free.

the circle opens inWe're live right now. Come on in.
You can explain the patriarchy at a dinner party.
You still spend the drive home decoding why your partner went quiet halfway through it.
You've read the books. You've done years of unlearning. You can name the system in one breath.
You chose your partner on purpose, for love and for shared values.
And still, somewhere between the shared calendar and the bedroom, the old rules creep back in: the uneven load, the resentment you're too evolved to say out loud, the desire that wandered off without leaving a note.
You'd never call it a trap. Your body knows the feeling anyway.
You aren't failing at liberation. You're living under a spell, and it's much older than your relationship.

Ever notice how love comes back on vacation?
Same two people. Same love.
A few days away from the inbox, the overwork, the isolation and the load nobody else sees.
The laughing comes back. The touching comes back. Often the sex comes back too.
Nothing about the two of you changed. Only the conditions did.
So why do you keep treating what happens back home as your own personal failure?
We take far too much responsibility for how our relationships are going. So much of what we're struggling with is cultural, historical and societal, and it still lives in us.

The spell was cast long before you were born.
It's woven from shared norms nobody voted on, handed down through our families like the good china. And some of those rules are barely a generation old.
- 1974In the US, banks can no longer refuse a woman credit for being a woman.
- 1993Marital rape is finally a crime in all fifty states.
- 2015Same-sex couples win the freedom to marry nationwide.
Our grandparents loved inside those rules. Their bodies learned them by heart. And bodies teach, long before words do.

You can't think your way out of a spell your body learned.
The bracing the second a hard conversation starts. The fawning. The overfunctioning. The going numb right when closeness is on offer.
None of it is a character flaw. It's inheritance, stored in muscle and breath and in the way your shoulders rise before you've said a word.
Your body is an ecology, not a machine. Change its conditions and it does what every living thing does: it opens.
That's where the spell breaks. Insight alone hasn't been enough, and it was never supposed to be. Your body remembers another way to love, and in this class we go there together.
One evening to see the whole spell, and feel it loosen.
The inheritance
How patriarchy, history and the norms we all share moved into our most private rooms.
Where the spell lives in you
The somatics of bracing, and why understanding the system hasn't set your body free.
A live practice
Feel the spell loosen in your own body, in real time. Cameras optional, nothing to share.
The blueprint
Why the way we love shapes the way we govern, and the way we treat the earth.
The new vow
We close by speaking it out loud, together: the love we're choosing to live under now. Rest that doesn't have to be earned. Desire that is never owed. Nobody shrinking to keep the peace.
We'll open by candlelight, the way I open everything I do. Bring something warm to drink and an evening that belongs to you.

where the evening ends
Our relationships are the blueprint.
A culture that runs your body like a machine is the same one strip-mining the planet for one more quarter of growth.
How we honor a no in our own bed is how a culture learns to honor bodily autonomy everywhere else.
Two people learning to share power without domination are practicing the democracy so many of us are afraid of losing.
It's why I care so much about this work. Your love life was never only yours.

Sex and Relationship Coach, naturalist, and a not-quite-perfect witch.
I once lived by a paper planner, was headed for a master's in economics, and rolled my eyes at anything spiritual. Then my body set off a bomb in my life, and I found my way back into it on the mountains of Spain.
Now I keep altars all over my house, walk the woods behind it and celebrate the turning of the seasons. I help people find the love their bodies have been waiting for.

"It gave me language for what I'd been feeling for so long and didn't know how to express. I felt completely seen."
"There's no doubt we'd made progress over the years, but this was like jet fuel. We're playful and it feels sustainable."
"This work helped me find ME."
Free, live, and by candlelight.
Will I have to talk or turn my camera on?
Not at all. Cameras are optional and you never have to share. Come in your softest sweater and simply listen.
Is this for me if I'm queer, single or not in a couple?
Yes! The spell doesn't check anyone's relationship status. However you love, and whoever you love, partnered or in between, you belong in this room.
Should my partner come too?
They're welcome to sit beside you, and you're just as welcome to come on your own. Everything we do starts in your own body.
Is this going to get political?
Yes, and personal, and deeply embodied. You'll leave with history in one hand and your own body in the other.
Is this a sales pitch in disguise?
You'll get real teaching and a real practice. At the end, I'll share how you can go deeper with me if you'd love to, and you're free to simply enjoy the evening.

Come break the spell with us.
Monday, December 7, live with me on Zoom. One free evening for the revolution that starts in your own body. I can't wait to see you in the circle!
